Fractured Particles - Lexi Sketch

A quick sketch of Lexi from Toolkitz's wonderful world of living pixels.

Toolkitz is a fantastic dev who makes games to stretch the imagination - my favorite work of his is Fractured Particles, along with its companion game Fractured Layers.

He's also published a game on Steam, Magical Star Pillars.  It's a fun romp, puzzling your way across a chain of islands and finding companions as you go as you investigate the machinations of a mad AI.

Needless to say, I'm a raving fan.

  1. Hello.

I'm sorry for not responding sooner because I only recently logged in to IndieDB. I saw the post you left on my profile and, man, I couldn't have asked a better time to have such an impactful post.

I won't go into detail in this comment box because I made a whole post about my current situation here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/magical-star-pillars/news/farewell-magica-star-pillars.

I just want to thank you so much for this. I've been feeling down for some time but felt I got over it and was going to move on. When I saw this, however, I just couldn't control my emotions. I felt like this was a very nice way to end MSP and you have no idea how much I adore this. I'll treasure it for years to come.

Sorry if I sound so emotional but right now I'm going through a real tough time in my life and for Toolkitz and this just made me feel like all the time I have spent on these projects do mean something. I can't thank you enough.

Also, I wish to ask, have you check out Magical Star Pillars?

    1. I'm glad that you like it! And I'm very glad that it helped you out when things were rough.

I did check out MSP as soon as it came out! To be honest, I haven't finished it yet though. I had gotten to the Empress' level before classes started, but since then I've yet to return. (so no spoilers, lol)

I'm sorry it didn't work out as well as you hoped. But - if I may say? MSP has been a huge inspiration to me. Just... being able to get something on Steam, to keep pushing out updates for it and a DLC pack - it inspires me to keep going with my own projects and not give up. And I'm glad that I got to repay that somehow.

So yeah - thank you, and keep it up!

  2. If I can inspire people with my projects, then I feel like I'm doing the right thing. It's comments like these that helps me to never give up. I wish you the best of luck in your own projects. It's hard to get your name out there but if you have patience and the willingness to learn, something will eventually happen.

If you do get back to MSP, read the post I made in the MSP Steam board. It gives some tips on how to beat the final stage. If the game gets too hard, then I'll be happy to give you some cheat codes, though they only work on the DLC version. If you didn't get the DLC, I'll be happy to make it available so you can download it.

Last thing, I know you don't want spoilers but I figured you'd get a kick out of this:
